Hi, I’m Shantell — a single mom, student, and working professional navigating life through faith, growth, and resilience.
I created Balancing Mom Life as a space where I share my real journey of balancing motherhood, education, career responsibilities, emotional healing, and personal growth. Life has not always been easy, but every challenge has shaped who I am becoming as both a woman and a mother.
Motherhood is the center of my world. Raising my son has been one of the greatest blessings and motivations in my life. He inspires me daily to push forward, even during the most overwhelming seasons. I want him to grow up seeing strength, perseverance, love, and faith modeled through real-life experiences.
Alongside motherhood, I am also balancing being a full-time student and working professional. Managing school, work, parenting, and personal healing is a journey that requires patience, organization, and grace. Through this blog, I share both the victories and the struggles, because I believe real stories help other moms feel less alone.
My life has also been shaped by personal loss and emotional growth. Losing my father at a young age deeply impacted my life and continues to influence the way I view family, love, and motherhood. While grief is something that never fully disappears, it has taught me strength, compassion, and the importance of cherishing meaningful moments with loved ones.
My faith plays a strong role in how I navigate life’s challenges. I lean on prayer, reflection, and trust in God during difficult seasons, and I hope to encourage other women who may be walking through similar experiences.
I am also passionate about advocacy, leadership, and supporting my community. Through my involvement in leadership roles and community engagement, I have developed a strong desire to uplift others, especially women and families navigating life challenges. Helping others feel seen, supported, and empowered is something that has always been close to my heart.
Through Balancing Mom Life, I hope to create a supportive and honest space where moms and women can feel encouraged, understood, and inspired. This blog is not about perfection — it is about growth, healing, learning, and embracing the journey one day at a time.
If my story encourages even one mother to feel supported or understood, then sharing my journey is worth it.
